March Venue:  Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas

Rayo Vallecano

Rayo’s already small chance of shunning away from relegation was even more shattered when they welcomed Sevilla at the Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas on weekend. The clash finished in a one-goal clean sheet in favor of the visitors, inflicting a three-point deficit on the hosts. Despite being reduced to just 10 men, Sevilla were still able to pull off a stunner via Coke that eventually led Franjirrojos to incur their 17th defeat this season. It was a major upset for Paco Jémez’s men as they have looked forward to winning the battle after the massive assault they suffered from Barca 6-0 a week earlier. In terms of their home form, Rayo have already lost 27 points from 12 home matches.

Valencia stretched their winning streak to six weeks (in all competitions) as they obtained all three points on weekend from winning their tourney against Granada in the Spanish top-tier football. This was at the back of a similarly successful campaign against Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Europa League. Defender Ruben Vezo scored late to seize the winner after team-mate Alcacer volleyed an equalizer to Piti’s opener. The 2-1 result would be the side’s third home victory this year, which follows the successes they had from Levante 2-0 and Real Betis 5-0. Away from their home soil, Los Che have only scored one win from the same period.

Online betting tip: Valencia’s form is absolutely more reliable than Rayo Vallecano’s. By goal difference alone, the visitors are 36 goals ahead of their hosts. Therefore, this battle will be largely controlled by Valencia.
