Rayo Vallecano

Still in drought of a win, Rayo Vallecano only obtained one point from their last four matches (or last three in La Liga). They were beaten by Levante 1-0 in the Copa del Rey and succumbed to such rivals as Elche 2-0 and Atletico Madrid 2-4 in the Spanish top-flight league. Their latest fixture resulted in a draw, sharing points with Levante on a goalless finish. Despite this not-so-disappointing result, they are still in deep distress in the relegation zone.

Rayo are four points short of safety, but they are still three points clear of the table’s foot. A growing problem in the defense could take a toll on the side’s ranking, such that they could rank lower only due to goal difference even if they post level scores with their rivals.

Scoring the most goals in the match, Malaga thrashed Sevilla 3-2 to claim the silverware at home. Portuguese midfielder Duda opened the scoring in the first period and then grabbed the winner seven minutes from time to move Malaga clear of the relegation zone. Sevilla were nearly certain to lord over the battle in the second half as goals from Carlos Bacca and Federico Fazio put them in the lead, but the match turned for a second time. Samu made the scoring level in the 77th minute before Duda delivered the final goal.

Malaga are now five spots clear of the drop zone, but they still need plenty of rigorous attempts in order for them to get at least into the top half.

Football betting tip: More in-from, possess strong defense, and more skilled in the attack, Malaga are the clear winners in this battle. Rayo Vallecano should work much harder on stopping their opponents from making chances if they wish to go home with at least one goal achieved.
