La Liga Match Preview: Granada vs. Sevilla

Updated: November 28, 2013

Match Date: 01 December 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio Los Cármenes

At home, Granada are largely unimpressive. Of the seven La Liga home matches they had this season, only two ended on a positive note, the rest were major upsets. This does not also mean that they are good as away. In fact, they almost display the same caliber of performance during outings, except that they have obtained most of their points on the road. In other words, El Grana are a very inconsistent pack of warriors.

Their most recent match gave them their worst result this term. The 4-0 away defeat Lucas Alcaraz’s men incurred from Barcelona was a massive factor that led to the side’s slip in the league table.  They are now at the rankings’ lower half, a four-spot downgrade from their eighth-spot distinction a week before that.

The Sevillistas’ very successful last two matches were nearly enough to compensate for the bloody defeats they suffered in the two fixtures before the victories. The side incurred a 7-3 loss from their outing to Madrid, as well as a 0-1 home finish from hosting Celta de Vigo. Six points were later achieved when Sevilla faced Espanyol 1-3 and most recently, Real Betis 4-0. The accomplishments just prove that the squad are excellent at coming back from losing positions.

An attack to set pieces is what the Sevillistas are most recognized for, although they are also competent at finishing scoring chances and stealing the ball from the opposition. The avoidance of offside and the defense from counter attacks are two of the departments that the side still need so much work on.

Football betting tip: With Granada and Sevilla armoring weapons that are almost of the same grade and power, a deadlock should be expected from this fixture.
