Atletico Madrid

Despite the progressive campaign of Barcelona to win over Atletico Madrid—with the return of Lionel Messi as frosting of the cake—the former were only held in a draw by the latter. What is more whelming about the clash was that none of the sides scored even just a single goal. While both teams are still level on points, Barca gained the top position due to a much higher goal difference. But despite this, Atletico could still consider this event as a moderate success in that they were able to prevent Messi (or any other key players) from breaking the deadlock.

Having only been beaten once this season, Los Colchoneros remain to be colossal enemies for other clubs. The nearly perfect record is witness to the side’s strong determination to win the competition over, and with players like Diego Costa, David Villa, and Raul Garcia displaying energetic performances, the quest to seize the lead will stay a huge possibility.

Currently ranked within the Spanish top-tier football’s top half, Sevilla have no plans to going back to the relegation zone—which had been their home during the fourth and fifth weeks of the competition. The side’s past seven matches are a proof of their zeal to continue improving in the league. Two of those matches were draws, but the rest of the fixtures were resounding victories—including two clean sheets.

Sevilla are at their best when attacking set pieces, but they are also nearly as good in terms of creating long shot opportunities and finishing scoring chances.

Online betting tip: Atletico Madrid are the obvious favorites to win in this match against Sevilla, although the latter have a good shot of netting at least one goal. The home side will be very much eager to win their next fixture following a frustrated attempt to topple the current league leaders.
