Almeria injected a major boost to their La Liga survival after they won over fellow strugglers Granada on a two-goal clean sheet. This allowed the side to climb out of the drop zone and cleared their way up to the safer spots by three points. The success was mainly propelled by the agile penalties from Verza and Vidal.

There was plenty at stake for Almeria, but their efforts were deservedly rewarded and may now look forward to a very good chance at spending another season in the Spanish top-tier football. Rojiblancos have so far made it three wins in a row following excellent maneuvers against Espanyol and Real Betis from the earlier weeks. With this trend, Francisco Rodríguez should be able cap their season finale with flying colors.

Athletic Bilbao, meanwhile, have already earned enough points for them to secure berth in the Champions League play-offs. The fourth-placers lost the chase for the league title some weeks ago after Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have earned substantial points that Los Leones can no longer match or overtake. Regardless, they will end the season rather strongly.

Ernesto Valverde’s men have been unbeaten for the last three weeks, although their most recent result only awarded them with one point against Real Sociedad. They are 15 points behind current third placers Real Madrid and nine points clear of their nearest challengers Sevilla FC.

Football betting tip: Between the sides, Almeria need the victory more. However, Althletic Bilbao would want to end the season without succumbing to their rivals. This battle should, then, result in a deadlock.
