After two weeks of lackluster performances, Granada have finally replicated the points they obtained in the first La Liga week after finishing their brawl against Athletic Bilbao in a 0-1 away triumph. Jhon Córdoba took his side to the lead early in the tilt when he fired a goal in the 39th minute, which was eventually recorded as the only goal of the battle. The win placed them two spot higher than last week in the league table and are now just a step away from the top three. Levante, by contrast, scored zero in their tourney against former champions and current leaders Barcelona. The side conceded five goals to their opponents, suggesting a chronic problem both in their defense and goalkeeping as well as a lack of coordination between the attackers and the midfielders.

Football betting tip: Granada will remain undefeated for a fifth consecutive week through a home victory against Levante.

Sevilla vs. Real Sociedad

Match Date: 25 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Estadio R. Sanchez Pizjuan

Carlos Bacca emerged as the man of the match after he scored goals on both halves for Sevilla in their battle against Cordoba at the Estadio Nuevo Arcángel. Stephane M’Bia also netted a goal just after Bacca’s opener before it was equalized by Borja Garcia in the 83rd minute. The result made the Sevillistas unbeaten in four straight matches and are comfortably seated at the second highest spot of the league table, just behind last season’s runners up Barcelona. Real Sociedad, meanwhile, dropped three points from their match versus Almeria. While they managed to fire a late consolation, they no longer had the chance to turn the tides in their favor as Almeria already had a two-goal lead, thanks to Alberto de la Bella’s own goal and Mauro dos Santos’ second half effort.

Sports betting tip: Real Sociedad will succumb to Sevilla.
