In spite being reduced to just 10 men, Almeria were still able to pull off a hard-fought, but well-deserved victory against Real Sociedad. The surprise win—which was largely attributed to a De La Bella own goal and a header from Mauro dos Santos—came at the back of three frustrating results they obtained from the first few weeks of the Spanish top-tier league. Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, lost their hopes of regaining the top spot of the league tally after they only secured one point from their battle against Celta de Vigo. While Miranda successfully equalized Pablo Hernandez’s opener and Diego Godin was able to double the score, they were still held in a draw after Nolito fired a penalty to pin the match 2-2. In addition, Los Colchoneros lost to Olympiakos 3-2 at the Champions League.

Online betting tip: Almeria’s luck will prove temporary as they will be beaten by Atletico Madrid in this tourney.

Eibar vs. Villarreal

Match Date: 25 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Municipal de Ipurúa

Successful efforts by Dani Garcia and Raul Albentosa gave Eibar its second win of the season as it defeated Elche 2-0 in the Spanish top-flight football. A good attacking skills paired with a strong defense made the victory a clean sheet, thanks also to Elche’s errors in providing their rivals with clearances that the Armeros have gladly taken. Similarly, Villarreal made an eminent comeback after they defeated Rayo 4-2 at home. The success came after two previous goalless encounters that rendered them losers or boring players.

Football betting tip: Eibar and Villarreal will share the points.
