West Ham are now nearly level with West Brom after the latter stole all three points from the former in their battle on weekend at The Hawthorns. The clean sheet victory was West Brom’s first win under Pepe Mel while it was the 19th defeat for Sam Allardyce’s men this season. Despite the loss, The Irons must now only need to fill one more victory to secure safety and berth in the league’s next season. But that might prove quite elusive as their past few matches have so far yielded zero points.

The Spurs, meanwhile, have stretched their unbeaten streak to a fourth consecutive week in the English top-flight tournament. The side defeated Stoke City in a thrilling match that saw Danny Rose emerge as the event’s central figure. The defender is now sure that he will not end the season without a goal as Tottenham’s 1-0 result was largely driven by his impressive work.

Football betting tip: Tottenham Hotspur are on course to another triumph.

Aston Villa vs. Hull City

Match Date: 03 May 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Villa Park

Aston Villa have a large player deficit to deal with. Six of the side’s players—Gardner, herd, N’Zogbia, Okore, Kozak, and Benteke—have been injured which would inevitably hinder them from playing in The Villans’ last few matches. The scenario appears even more appalling for the squad as they have never been able to secure the silverware in their past six top-tier matches. They did draw with Southampton, but it was a result crowned by zero goals. They are currently only three points adrift of the drop zone.

Hull City also have some players sidelined, which include Dudgeon, McGregor, Brady, and McShane. Their form is less alarming than Aston Villa’s but it still does not guarantee sure victory. They scored all possible results in their last three Premier League matches: a clean sheet over Swansea, a goalless defeat from Arsenal, and a 2-2 draw with Fulham.

Sports betting tip: Aston Villa will share the points with Hull City.
