Match Date: 26 December 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Upton Park

West Ham United

If it was not for their 1-2 away success over the Spurs in the League Cup, West Ham United’s last few matches could have been winless. They are running out of breath in the Premier League, only winning thrice, drawn in five, and defeated nine times. They are just one point clear of relegation, putting their current position at number 17 and their future at risk.

The Hammers are in crisis with five players sidelined: Petric, Ricardo Vaz Te, Carroll, Reid, Downing. Not only is the side’s ensemble deprived of improvement, but the team’s defense-attack mechanism is also periled to a certain degree. West Ham still cannot find the correct formula to develop good tactics on the attack, and their carelessness in the dangerous zones is not also making them any good.

Arsenal

Arsenal’s last two matches hid the splendor in them. The back-to-back defeats they suffered in the Champions League and Premier League really hurt their form, succumbing to powerhouse clubs Napoli 2-0 and Manchester City 6-3, respectively. While they remain to be among the strongest teams in the UK, Arsenal had their recent downfalls creating loopholes in their form and perhaps, spoiled their confidence.

The Gunners’ next battles would be more cautious, no matter what. The side are in tremendous eagerness to avenge themselves and retaliate in any way possible. They would surely capitalize on their skills in counter attack and through balls.

Online betting tip: Despite their latest debacles, Arsenal are still so much more in-form than West Ham United. The former will earn all the three points in this tourney.
