Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers last competed in the 2012-13 EPL season, when the former won in the first leg 2-1 and both of them drawing in the second leg 0-0. This time around, can QPR finally earn all three points or will this be their first defeat in three meetings against Spurs?

Tottenham Hotspur

Currently seated on the table’s eighth spot, Spurs made an early impression with a victory against West Ham United. This extended their winning streak to five consecutive battles, the previous ones being pre-season club friendlies. A Harry Kane-assisted goal by Eric Dier on extra time proved decisive of the final outcome. The lone, but nonetheless significant effort made sure that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are off to a good start while West Ham should muster more guts for them to successfully convert chances in the top-flight tournament. However, it cannot also be denied that both sides showed dramatic improvements in their defenses. Additionally, goalkeepers Adrian and Hugo Lloris must congratulate themselves for doing well in their respective jobs.

Queens Park Rangers

While they were wielded in great form at the Football League Championship, QPR found it quite difficult to immediately acclimatize in the English top-tier football. The side are no strangers to EPL but they are among the yo-yo clubs in England in recent years, which means that they can hardly sustain success for a substantial amount of time. Their opening performance is testament to this inconsistency. The side succumbed to Hull City even before reaching a full hour in the pitch. James Chester netted the only goal of the battle and QPR wasted their chances at delivering an equalizer.

Sports betting tip: Tottenham Hotspur will bag all the marbles against QPR.
