Match Date: 23 February 2014 (local)

Match Date: Carrow Road

Norwich City

Have they taken advantage of their chances and better openings, Norwich City could have earned all the three points from their tourney against West Ham. Unfortunately, they fell short of enough force to smoothen the rally, not to mention goalkeeper John Ruddy’s unsatisfying performance. As a result, The canaries headed home with zero goals scored while West Ham pulled off two late goals from James Collins and Mohamed Diame to make them the eventual winners.

At number 16, Chris Hughton’s players should think more clearly of their strategies in order to win their next battles and widen their distance from the drop zone. This stage of the competition is already frenetic, and victory in their every battle is very crucial.

Tottenham Hotspur

Unbeaten for two weeks in row, Tottenham Hotspur made it three after their mauling of Newcastle United at the St. James’ Park on Wednesday. Emmanuel Adebayor secured a double while Paulinho and Nacer Chadli netted one goal apiece to trounce their hosts on a four-goal clean sheet. Coach Tim Sherwood looked confident of his side winning, especially after his men showed creativity, agility, and mastery of their pitch strategies throughout the match.

Currently having a secure spot in the top five, Spurs are almost certain of a Europa League seeding. They may still aim for a Champions League berth but they would need to topple at least two more clubs (who rank higher than them) in order to do so.

Football betting tip: Tottenham Hotspur, with a very solid form, are the clear winners in this battle. This, however, does not reduce Norwich City’s chance of earning at least a consolation.
