Match Venue: Etihad Stadium

Manchester City

Continuing a perfect record at home after denying Liverpool of claiming back the top spot, Manchester City are positioned to an undeniably already-magnificent run in the English top-tier football. A draw was expected to come out of their clash with Liverpool, but the massive goals of Vincent Kompany and Alvaro Negredo sealed a 2-1 home finish to haul all the three points in the fixture.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men made it an impressive nine out of nine (with 37 goals scored) to climb into second place behind Arsenal after the thrashing of the Reds. City remain to be the favorites for the title and their home form will be a crucial factor in achieving that.

Palace are now out of the relegation zone, thanks to the victory they obtained in their travel to Birmingham. The side overthrew Aston Villa in an exciting 0-1 finish, claiming all the possible points in the match and curbing their risk of leaving the tournament by the end of the season. The clean sheet was a most needed victory for Palace to find warmer seats in the league. The fixture could have ended in a draw, but Dwight Gayle’s late rally via injury time saved the evening’s best moment.

The travelling Palace fans exploded in merriment of their second on-the-road win while hecklings resonated around Villa Park as the home side slipped to a fourth straight defeat.

Football betting tip: There is no denying that this match between Manchester City and Crystal Palace will be largely one-sided. Indeed Palace have had some improvements lately, but City will stay a superpower that even a energetically improving side will fail to topple.
