Although both Hull and Manchester City currently belong to the upper half of the league rankings, only the latter have managed to earn a positive goal difference. The former worked their way to a breakeven score.

Hull City

Hull is neither the Premier League’s frontrunners nor underdogs, but they enjoy some unique qualities as well as suffer with some shortcomings as any other mid-table club would. Their first five weeks into the tournament have so far yielded them with six points which they obtained from winning against Queens Park Rangers in the opening and drawing with three other sides namely, Stoke City, West Ham United, and most recently, Newcastle United. At the Europa League, meanwhile, The Tigers were quite successful. They won in two matches out of their four August appearances.

Manchester City

The defending champions have quite been overpowered by some of the season’s breakthrough performers. Manchester City are presently seated in the Premier League table’s sixth spot, lower than the ranks of such sides as Swansea, Aston Villa, or Southampton. Nevertheless, they still fly high in terms of club support and their not-so-perfect form for the past five weeks is not necessarily definitive—more so, decisive—of their overall performanbce by the end of the tournament.

Sports betting tip: Manchester City will control the entire match and should therefore earn all the spoils against Hull.
