Cardiff City

Still winless for five consecutive weeks now, Cardiff City are desperate to earn the long-due three points. They perform very inconsistently, that even playing in their own territory, home advantage does not qualify as a considerable factor. The side are currently positioned at number 16, with a record of W3-D5-L7 and total points of 14.

Creating scoring chances is not necessarily a problem for Cardiff City; the dilemma is on how they would convert those opportunities into solid goals. The Bluebirds are in high risk of being sucked into the relegation, and it will soon materialize if the team’s misfortunes continue making the sojourn. This is probably the main reason why coach Malky Mackay wants to bring in a new striker to his team.

Mackay’s strike force have not been scoring nearly the number of goals he would have hoped for. However, looking to make a move for a front man could also mean setting a faucet of high expenses for the club.

West Bromwich Albion

Despite scoring some goals in their past five matches, West Bromwich Albion have never been able to score substantial points to keep their position in the league at least within the top dozen. They are only two points clear of relegation, and with a -4 goal difference, the side are in serious danger of falling into the unwanted spots.

The Baggies have only picked up seven points from all their away matches this season. This is not necessarily a poor result, but it is clearly indicative of some inconsistency problems going on. Steve Clarke’s lads do very well on aerial duels, but they heavily fail on defending against long shots.

Football betting tip: In a meeting where both sides seem to race neck-and-neck, not to mention ranking side-by-side in the league table, a deadlock is a highly probably result.
