Newcastle United- Remy Cabella

Recap

Finishing in the top 10 last season partially grants Newcastle United some dose of bragging rights. It was much better compared to settling at the 16th spot during the 2012-2013 season. Yet, if one has to look back of how the Magpies made it to the Europa League during their 2011-2012 stint, it can be fairly said that their performance hardly impressed its supporters.
Really, Newcastle United’s inconsistency prevented them from clinching a much better spot.

Match to remember

The victory over Chelsea during the season’s early stage, awakened the squad’s hope of competing to Europe again.

Match to forget

Losing two (2) matches against Sunderland, in which they are the online betting favorite, can be considered as a humbling experience for the Magpies. The losses were also a testament to its inconsistency.

The scene-stealers

It is not surprising to see Loic Remy as one of the most prominent figures in the club.  He was Newcastle United’s top scorer. He makes it a point to deliver the needed goals. During his twenty-four (24) appearances, Romy was able to net fourteen (14) goals. It is because of him that the team landed to the 10th spot. It could have been worse if not for the French international’s contributions.

Unfortunately, Remy is set to leave the squad and will be wearing an Arsenal jersey soon.

Latest additions

Attacking midfielder, Remy Cabella has finally landed a contract with the Magpies. He has long been a target of the club since Yohan Cabaye left.
