Manchester City- Fernando

The 2013-2014 season has been a productive one for Manchester City. Not only did they clinch the Capital One Cup silverware, a late rally also helped them snatch the top-flight league trophy.

City was already a top title contender and a certified favorite of online bookies last season. However, it was not until the second half of the season that they were able to assert their bid for the title. This is in stark contrast to other clubs such as Arsenal, which dominated the season’s first half. Liverpool and Chelsea also had their share of fame, but both clubs stumbled towards the end.

Match to remember

Manchester City’s stunner against the then Champions League champion, Bayern Munchen is one of the highlights in the club’s performance last season. They were the first club to inflict the Bavarians its first taste of defeat.

Match to forget

Losing to Chelsea twice in the Premier League can be considered as one of the club’s lowest points. Nevertheless, the squad had its chance for redemption when it outlasted Chelsea during the FA Cup encounter.

The scene-stealers

Yaya Toure is Manchester City’s ultimate man of the match. Toure finished with twenty (20) goals in thirty-five (35) appearances.

Latest additions

Fernando of FC Porto will soon join Manchester city’s ranks. In an interview, Fernando shared his dream of replicating his success in his previous club. Likewise, he expressed his admiration for Yaya Toure whom he described as one of his biggest inspirations.

With Fernando’s innate versatility on the pitch, one can only expect a stronger and better Manchester City.
