Leicester City- David Nugent

Leicester City needed to wait for a decade before it made a grand comeback to the top-flight league.

They had their chance during the 2012-2013 season, however, a more resilient Crystal Palace stole the show. The defeat was a total disappointment. But it was the heartache, which pushed the squad to play harder and smarter.

Last season, The Foxes, which could be the next online betting favorite,  are no longer required to engage in a grueling playoff. They toppled all their opponents and finished as the Championship’s best squad, thus, earning automatic promotion rights.

Match to remember

Leicester’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday ensured the club’s promotion. The down the wire match proved to be a significant leap in the squad’s morale and esteem.

Match to forget

Conceding four (4) goals to Brighton is the worst match that the Foxes have to endure. It was their biggest loss last season and it almost triggered a losing streak. Nevertheless, the club was able to score a goal that salvaged them from humiliation.

The scene-stealers

Leicester City’s top scorer, David Nugent is a certified scene-stealer of the club. The reliable striker netted twenty (20) goals during his forty-four (44) appearances.

Recently, Nugent signed another 2-year deal with the club.

Latest additions

Former Aston Villa winger, Marc Albrighton will be wearing a Leicester City jersey soon. His experience with Villa will surely bring more depth into the newly-promoted squad.
