Neither Burnley nor Manchester United showed promising performances in the first two weeks of the Premier League’s new season. The home side were easily toppled by Chelsea in their top-flight debut 1-3 and Swansea City gave them their first goalless defeat of the season 1-0. The away team, meanwhile, have yet to replicate their pre-season successes to the English top-tier football as they were beaten by Swansea City in their opening fixture 1-2 and only obtained a 1-1 draw with Sunderland. In addition, both teams suffered dangerously in the League Cup: The Clarets succumbed to Sheffield Wednesday while The Red Devils incurred a 4-0 thrashing from Milton Keynes Dons. Sean Dyche and Louis van Gaal are apparently pressured to make a good turnaround of their early deficits.

Football betting tip: This battle will give Manchester United their first (but narrow) victory of the season while Burnley will remain winless.

Swansea City vs. West Bromwich Albion

Match Date: 30 August 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Liberty Stadium

Swansea and West Brom are both unbeaten in their first two Premier League matches, thus far. The only difference they have is that the former finished both of their fixtures victorious while the latter only earned stalemates. The Jacks are currently seated on the table’s fourth highest spot with six points under their belt and with a +2 goal difference to be proud of—thanks to their outstanding abilities to create long shot opportunities and defend against their rival’s attacks. Meanwhile, The Baggies are currently ranked just below the top half with total earnings of only two points; their goals scored and conceded were also break-even. Shooting from direct free kicks remains to be their best asset.

Sports betting tip: Swansea City will make it three wins in a row at the expense of West Bromwich.
