Schalke Almost Humiliated At Home

(Schalke 3-3 Hamburger SC)

Schalke supporters waited for five years to see the Royal Blues begin their campaign at the Veltins Arena and they got what they truly deserve.

In a nerve-wrecking match, Schalke almost surrendered to Hamburger when the latter dominated the latter phase of the game. Yet, known for its strong team form and passion for winning, the jaw-breaking encounter ended in a draw, with both clubs scoring 3 goals each.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar converted 2 goals in the 2nd and 4th, while Adam Szalai scored the last minute equalizer.

Newly Promoted Hertha Berlin Thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt

(Hertha Berlin 6-1 Eintracht Frankfurt)

Who would have thought that the newly promoted Hertha Berlin (The Old Lady) would easily lambast last season’s 5th placer, Eintracht Frankfurt (Eagles)?

The Old Lady’s performance was one of the greatest upsets witnessed in Bundesliga. As they debut in Germany’s top flight league, Adrián Ramos and Sami Allagui unleashed a scoring onslaught and if not for a converted penalty, it could have been a clean sheet.

Other than Ramos and Allagui, John Anthony Brooks and Ronny added more damage to their opponents. And would you believe that their recent victory places them on top of the table—ahead of treble title holders, Bayern Munchen and Champions League runner-up, Borussia Dortmund?

Hannover Kept Wolfsburg At Bay
(Hannover 96 2-0 Wolfsburg)

Despite of the many attempts to score, Wolfsburg’s efforts resulted in a denial.

Hannover’s (The Reds) impenetrable defence wall resulted to a clean sheet. Leon Andreasen secured the club’s first goal on the 17th and Szabolcs Huszti sealed Wolfsbur’s fate in the match.

The Reds aims to be back on top 6 and with the result of their past performance, the club was definitely, off to a good start.
