A stunning performance from La Real rocked Spain’s top-flight league when it thrashed the powerhouse Real Madrid.
Last season, Real Sociedad readily struggled during its 2 encounters against Los Blancos. In their first meeting, the latter slapped them with 4 goals whilst their last face-off ended with a 5-0 result. Yet, what transpired last week was the ultimate reversal of role as it was Real Sociedad, which was on a scoring rampage. The meeting of both squads ended in a 4-2 result favoring La Real.

On the other hand, Barcelona still keeps a clean slate in Primera Division after snatching a narrow win against Villarreal. Lioenl Messi inspired the squad’s attacks, but it was Sandro Ramirez, who netted the winning goal.

Atletico Madrid, which debuted the season with a loss has already bounced back to its winning ways. This is despite Diego Simeone’s absence. Former Bayern Munich striker, Mario Mandzukic sealed the victory for the club when he doubled Atletico’s lead before the second half.

Lastly, Levante spiraled downwards and is already at the rock bottom part of the table after experiencing another major loss.

Real Sociedad’s David Zurutuza and Xabi Prieto created a major impact during La Real’s victory over Real Madrid. It was Zurutuza’s double that gave the club the lead it needed. However, the win  will not take place if not for Prieto’s crucial and superb assists.

Meanwhile in Atletico, Mandzukic once again proved that he is the club’s new scoring machine. After scoring the sole goal and winning the match for Atletico during the Spanish Super Cup, the Croatian international scored another winning shot in his team’s last match.

The blunders

Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence cannot be used as an excuse to Real Madrid’s loss. The online betting favorite is spoilt for choice when it comes to attackers in the pitch and could have done better.

What to expect

Javier Hernandez will be gracing Real Madrid soon when the marquee player opted to leave the bright lights of Old Trafford. His presence makes the Los Blancos overflow with scoring machines.

Lastly, former Manchester City striker, Alvaro Negredo has been unveiled as the newest addition in Valencia and is expected to feature in their next match soon.
