Malaga and Levante suffered identical results from their respective matches in the past week, the former having been beaten by Valencia and the latter by Athletic Bilbao. Both squads conceded three goals and scored zero.

Málaga

After a successful debut in the new season of La Liga, Malaga failed to replicate similar spectacle in their follow-up battle against Valencia last week. The opposition found the net three times and destroyed Los Boquerones’ defense with a powerful attacking prowess. From such plight, three goals were conceded and they failed to equalize any of them. This caused them to slide in the league rankings: from number seven in the first week down to the 13th in the current standings. Javi Garcia’s have excellent knack for creating scoring chances, but they often falter at conversion. A very poor possession is another issue they need to address.

Levante

Les Granotes made it two defeats in a row following a disappointing debut and an appalling display from last week. The side remain goalless and yet they have already conceded five goals in just two matches. They are currently at the foot of the league table and with their form and style of play, picking themselves out of that zone will prove extremely difficult. They may be good at protecting the lead but fall short of faculties when it comes to defending against their opponents’ through ball attacks, keeping possession, avoiding offside, and finishing scoring chances.

Football betting tip: Levante will incur another defeat under the hands of Malaga.
