Recap

Considering the fact that Atalanta struggled on the 15th spot in the 2012/2013 season, snatching the 11th spot in the recently concluded season was good enough. In a highly competitive league, a 4-notch leap can be considered as a major improvement.

At a glance, what Atalanta achieved seemed impossible. The squad had to suffer three (3) consecutive losses at the season’s onset. Yet, they also recovered quickly until they fell into another disastrous spell towards the start of the winter break.

Weak, but determined to succeed, Atalanta embarked on a winning spree. It started during the last week of February and lasted for about a month. The club was unstoppable, with seven (7) undefeated streaks under its belt.

But Atalanta faltered towards the last leg of the tournament. It only won once during its last seven (7) clashes. Nevertheless, despite the breakdown, the performance remained an impressive one.

Match to remember

To emerge as the dominant side against football betting favorite, Inter is one of the highlights in Atalanta’s plight last season. It was a match of two halves, which was eventually decided by Giacomo Bonaventura’s last minute goal.

Match to forget

Atalanta suffered a heavy beating from Parma twice. Parma thrashed them with four (4) goals in their last two (2) meetings.

The scene-stealers

Contributing thirteen (13) goals, the highest among his teammates, Germán Denis is Atalanta’s go-to-guy last season.

Latest Additions

Just recently, Atalanta has successfully secured the signature of Nicolo Cherubin. Cherubin shall be joining the squad on a 2-year loan.
