Juventus- Week 11 Recap

Week highlights

The tight title race between Juventus and Roma becomes even tighter as a resurrected Napoli joins them. Sampdoria is also hopeful that it could also participate in such feat, whilst Genoa gives a lecture on what improvement really means.

The online betting favorite, Juventus had a massive display of strength and skill last week when it thrashed the rock bottom Parma with seven (7) goals. Carlos Tevez, who has been recently recalled to join Argentina’s national football team, together with Alvaro Morata led the club’s scoring spree.

Although Juve was able to protect its 3-point lead, it cannot rest on its laurels. Roma, its closest rival also secured a win against Torino. And like them, they also ensured that they would win big.

Meanwhile, after lingering in the mid-table, Napoli is back to the top. The narrow win against Fiorentina marked its 6-match undefeated streak. Unfortunately, it will be missing Lorenzo Insigne, who will need to go through surgery after injuring his cruciate ligament.

As for Sampdoria, the club seems to be a bit too comfortable in the 5th spot that it has only managed to snatch a draw against AC Milan.

Lastly, many are stunned by Genoa’s current form. Last season, the squad barely survived and has only managed to occupy the 14th spot of the table, but right now, they are currently sitting at the 5th spot, showing high possibilities of qualifying in the Europa League next season.

Scene-stealers

Joining Tevez and Morata in the spotlight is Stephan El Shaarawy. Shaarawy has been sidelined for quite some time after incurring an injury. Seeing him play for the Rossoneris bring hope to the club.

The blunders

Parma needs to consider its approach. After an impressive performance last season, it is such a shame to see the club linger in the relegation zone.

What to expect

The title race will become fiercer than ever in the succeeding matches. It is a pretty tight competition and everything is possible.
