While they are only five places apart, Genoa and Bologna are separated by 12 points. The hosts occupy a safe spot in the mid-table while the guests still need some more wins to fully free them from the relegation zone and spend another season in the Italian top-flight league.

Rossoblu’s ability create chances and fight in the air were key factors to their campaign all thoughout the season. Their past few matches may have been tough for the Gian Piero Gasperini side but their resilience is strong enough to keep their confidence intact. Bologna, by contrast, cling on a slim hope for survival. The strugglers must obtain at least one win and one draw for them to stay in Serie A for next season.

Online betting tip: Genoa and Bologna could battle out a goalless draw.

Parma vs. Sampdoria

Match Date:  04 May 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio Ennio Tardini

Parma’s defeat to Cagliari was vital for the latter’s survival in the league. Crociati are already sure of their berth next season but their loss means that they just made their UEFA seeding more elusive. The squads are locked with 51 points and are three places behind Torino, currently the side occupying the last spot for Europa League.

Sampdoria obtained a vital win at Chievo after firing a double at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris on weekend. Their opponents looked set to earning their ninth win this season when Thereau successfully converted a penalty. However, Eder and Soriano rallied late in the battle and delivered one goal apiece in the match’s last 10 minutes. The result sent Sampdoria to the top dozen.

Football betting tip: Parma will obtain all the spoils.
