Lazio

Goals from Brayan Perea and Felipe Anderson marshaled Lazio through the UEFA Europa League round of 32, leaving fellow Group J participant Legia Warszawa empty-handed. In the Italian top-tier league, however, the side are quite struggling. They have been winless for four consecutive matches now, although only one of those ended in a defeat. Ciani, Keita, and Cana all scored one goal apiece to hold Milan, Parma, and Sampdoria in draws, respectively.

Fortunate enough to earn 17 points from 13 tourneys, Lazio are ranked within the table’s top eight. While this may seem “okay,” it is not a guarantee of the squad’s better placements in the future. They are still very poor at defending against through ball attacks, and the avoidance of fouling in dangerous areas remain a dilemma. Coach Vladimir Petković should think out of the box for his team to truly emerge as among the monsters in the tilt.

Napoli

The horrendous goal-empty defeats they incurred in their last two Serie A matches were made even worse by the latest downfall they suffered from Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. The German squad and reigning champions gave off a spectacular offensive performance. Marco Reus opened the scoring in the 10th minute via a penalty, and the score was later doubled by Jakub Blaszxzykowski. Napoli’s Lorenzo Isigne netted the first (and later, the only) goal for his team in the 71st minute, only to be canceled out by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Napoli are supposedly good at producing flowing counter attacks, but these did not show up in their most recent performances in all competitions. In the Italian top-tier league, Partenopei are slightly dwindling. The leaders from weeks 4 to 12 are now down to the third spot, six points short of Juventus’ (the new leaders) score. Regardless, they remain among the most interesting warriors to root for.

Football betting tip: Although they may have suffered mishaps in their latest efforts, Napoli are still capable of securing at least one point from Lazio. The sides’ last four meetings have been neck-and-neck, giving each team one win and one deadlock. In this upcoming match, another stalemate should be expected.
