Lazio

Their resilience and determination on the pitch helped them edge closer to the top five and extend their undefeated record under coach Edoardo Reja with a 3-2 victory over struggling Udinese. While Antonio Di Natale put the hosts on an early lead, Lazio’s Antonio Candreva was quick to cancel out the scoring with a spot-kick of his own just after the hour-mark. Emmanuel Badu scored midway through the second half to put back Udinese in the driver’s seat. However, errors got a toll on the side’s scoring spree after Andrea Lazzari delivered an own goal. A last-gasp Hernanes effort sealed the result for I Biancocelesti.

Current standings place Lazio at  number nine, with total points of 27 and a record of seven wins, six draws, and seven defeats. A not-so-well-developed defense remains to be a problem, as evidenced by the troupe’s negative goal difference. However, this can soon be abated with the squad gradually making serious improvements.

Juventus

La Vecchia Signora have little to prove about their fierceness as an Italian football powerhouse, especially when their form clearly describes them as the season’s (or the league’s) most successful club in years. The current table toppers have been unbeaten for the last 12 Serie A weeks and have only been beaten once this term. They are eight points clear of their nearest rivals, Roma, and have the largest share of goals scored among all the sides.

Juventus host a good arsenal of outstanding players. They have three of the season’s best scorers so far: Carlos Tevez (11), Arturo Vidal (10), and Fernando Llorente (8). In Juve’s most recent match alone, Vidal scored twice.

Football betting tip: While Lazio may have been considerably improving, they have yet to topple the tournament’s biggest monsters. Juventus will certainly not see this trip to be an easy one, but in the end, they will still emerge as the better team.
