Juventus

Uptight goalkeeping almost sent Juventus to their second defeat this season, but was luckily halted with a genius header from one of their best forwards. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon seemed out of sorts during his team’s fixture against Lazio, later earning a red card for fouling Miroslav Klose. This resulted in their opponents obtaining a penalty kick which was gladly converted by Antonio Candreva—thus having them take the lead. Exactly in the hour, Fernando Llorente fired a goal to put back the scoring to a deadlock, which later turned out to be the final result. The sides shared the points and it did little in their positions in the league table.

Although Juve lost their chance to extend their unbeaten Serie A streak to a 13th week, at least they were still lucky that their most recent result only concluded in a draw and not to a defeat. However, when all of their competitions are considered, La Vecchia Signora are far from being perfect. They were beaten by Galatasaray during a Champions League fixture and scored another loss when they met up with Roma in the Coppa Italia.

Internazionale

Inter have been winless for five straight matches, losing twice and drawing twice in Serie A and losing once in the Coppa Italia. In the top-tier league, they are quite losing their traction to the competition. I Nerazzurri are still part of the top five but their past nine matches are troubling them. Of this streak, only one resulted to triumph, three were losses, while the majority were draws.

Inter might be overtaken by Torino if they continue showing mediocre performances. The sides are only one point apart and their scoring abilities are also almost just equal. Inter should seek for more ways to convert chances and a heavier focus on defending counter attacks must also be advocated.

Online betting tip: This match will be a showstopper, with both Juventus and Inter skilled enough to display a thriller. However, the hosts are in a home advantage and their very solid form further suggests that they would still reign supreme by the end of the meeting.
