The past four matches of Genoa have been very agreeable for the side. While their most recent combat only resulted in a draw 1-1 with Milan, three matches before that were staggering clean sheets. These sufficed the team’s need for a robust reaping in the new season, especially after they kickstarted their campaign in dismaying results.

To battle in the relegation is no longer a dilemma for Genoa (at least for now and in the coming weeks), having been able to bag 18 points in 13 matches. Gian Piero Gasperini’s players have soared into the top seven, the side’s best position this season so far.

After eight consecutive weeks of zero wins, Torino have finally breathed life into the Italian top-tier league after thrashing Catania and bagging their third victory 4-1 this season. This enabled the squad to improve slightly in the rankings, from number 14 last week to number 12 this week. There are good signs coming for Giampiero Ventura’s lads.

Despite the massive win in their most recent battle, Torino are still not spared from major disasters. Their inconsistency is witness to their fluctuating run—a mixture plights and successes—in the season. They may be excellent at counter attacks but they are also frail at defending set pieces.

Online betting tip: Based on overall form and degree of reliability, Genoa have the upper hand over Torino. In addition, the sides’ past five meetings have also favored (mostly) the home side, winning three of those and drawing the remaining. Wagering between 1.89 and 2.04 for Genoa could open up opportunity for substantial earnings.
