Match Date: 12 January 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio San Elia

Cagliari

Adding another draw in their streak (W4-D9-L5), Cagliari failed to earn all the spoils in their match against lowly Chievo. Mauricio Pinilla could have gotten his team with a goal, if he just did not miss a second-half penalty which was denied by Chievo. The disappointing stalemate is the side’s fifth match to not yield any goal. They currently place in the table’s top dozen, with total earnings of 21 points.

I Rossoblu’s inconsistency problem has its roots on their lackluster ability to finish scoring chances, defend against through ball attacks, and avoid errors. Of all the matches they had this season, the side never went to achieve more than two goals in a single fixture. In fact, they only doubled their lead in just five occasions so far this term. They have been rendered goal-less six times and were defeated via clean sheet three times.

Juventus

The only club this season to destroy Roma’s unbeaten record, Juventus capped their most recent Serie A battle with a resounding 3-0 victory over the current runners up. The defending champions achieved the feat quite easily, which was deemed surprising considering Roma’s very solid form. While Juve obtained all the goals, their opponents were thrown with two red cards.

The league’s leaders are now eight points clear of their nearest competitions, further strengthening their chance of bagging the title for a third consecutive year. Antonio Conte could not be any prouder of his men, particularly Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic who scored the crucial points from their latest campaign on the pitch.

Football betting tip: After thrashing their closest rivals on a very impressive clean sheet, there is barely a reason why Juventus would not want to claim victory in their next battle. The visitors would still clinch triumph even if they are confronted by Cagliari who are relatively strong at home.
