Climbing two spots in the table, AC Milan are now back in the top nine, thanks to the Serie A victory they obtained from Cagliari. The match saw Giampaolo Pazzini score his very first league goal in the season. The striker only returned to the team in December following a long rest spent to recover from an injury. Just minutes after Mario Balotelli leveled Cagliari forward Marco Sau’s 28th minute opener with a free-kick, Pazzini was on the driver’s wheel to seize the winner from a corner.

Milan remain among the league’s most resilient fighters. They are reputed for their rapid recovery every after a fall. With excellent skills in attacking set pieces, shooting from direct free kicks, and creating scoring chances, i Rossoneri could finish the season in a comfortable position.

While they may have missed a late penalty, Torino still emerged as winners in their face-off against Atalanta—earning them three points to move upwards into the league table’s sixth safest spot. The spot-kick from Alessio Cerci exactly an hour into the match was the only goal scored in the fixture, proving how good Torino’s defense is against mid-table clubs.

Giampiero Ventura’s troupe were denied of a score in the opening minutes when Cerci’s fourth-minute strike was ruled out for offside and, in the 12th minute, Gerard Vives saw his strike suffer conversion from a sprightly save by goalkeeper Andrea Consigli. But despite these first-half shortcomings, Il Toro ultimately carried the day fully inspired.

Football betting tip: As both Milan and Torino are very much on fire to steal victory in their next battle, it is highly probable that they would end up sharing the spoils in their impending duel at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
