The current Milan campaign is far from the glorious days they had a few years ago when they topped the Italian first division of football. However, they remain big favorites among Serie A supporters. In their most recent battle in fact, Rossineri bounced back to where they truly belong: in the top half. Riccardo Montolivo fired the side’s winning goal to defeat Catania and bring back the former champions into the top 8. They are willfully determined to bask in the European heat by striving to clinch a UEFA seeding.

Clarence Seedorf’s players have spent most of the season in stagnation but four consecutive recent wins have now seen the San Siro side close to within five points of derby rivals Inter and three points of the final Europa League berth. Despite being reduced to 10 men, the squad still managed to earn a clean sheet, with Montolivo’s effort being the only goal scored in the battle.

Livorno remain in doldrums of the league table as they suffered another defeat in the competition from the massive attack of equally struggling side Chievo. Alberto Paloschi contributed three of the battle’s six goals, which ended 2-4 in favor of the visitors. The home defeat counts as Amaranto’s eighth disaster at the Armando Picchi this season. Domenico Di Carlo should start packing things as his side’s chance at survival is getting slimmer and slimmer.

Livorno were in control of the earlier parts of the match, with Luca Siligardi opening the scoring in the sixth minute. However, the campaign has since struggled to maintain the momentum which saw Paloschi and Cyril Thereau ultimately bagging the silverware. This was in spite of a successful penalty for Paulinho in the first half.

Football betting tip: Milan will continue their winning saga.
