It is rather expected to see sports betting sites choose AC Milan as favorite when it meets the newly promoted club, Hellas Verona. The latter’s promotion is indeed, noteworthy. Yet, the Rossoneri’s feat in Italy’s top-flight league, bears more weight in the upcoming match.

Just recently, Massimiliano Allegri and his squad grabbed the 3rd spot in Audi Cup. This is despite Manchester City’s 5-0 thrashing that eventually resulted to their ouster in the tournament’s championship round.

Many noticed the club’s struggling defence as its opponents saw plenty of scoring opportunities and converted and Allegri is fully aware of it. He was not a tactician for nothing.

In response to such shortcoming, Rossoneri’s head honcho, hunted for efficient additions in the club. One of them is Keisuke Honda.

Honda is a prominent figure Japan’s national football team. Along with Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa, Honda helped the squad became the first team to book a ticket for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Now that his contract signing in Milan is in its final stages, Allegri is confident of Honda’s ability to help the Rossoneri move out of the 3rd spot and bring more force in their UEFA campaign.
Fiorentina’s Adem Ljajic is said to be another target of the club. Recently, the Fiorentina squad reacted to the Rossoneri’s “unacceptable” or inappropriate bid for the player. But on a closer look, Viola knows what it will miss should the deal between AC Milan and Ljajic push through. Ljajic is one of Fiorentina’s top scorer and going to the Rossoneri’s does not only mean that they will be missing the player’s goals. It also poses a bigger problem since they have to stop 3 great strikers such as Balotelli, Shaaraway and Ljajic—not to mention the young M’Bayer Niang, who expressed his eagerness to compete with the league’s best goal scorers.

As for Verona, the match’s result, regardless of whether they win or not, shall be a good training ground for the club. They might have a taste of their first loss. But going against the Rossoneris will prove to be a meaningful experience.
