With just one win to decorate their otherwise frustrating form, Parma have so far been struggling to make a major, positive impact on the new season of the Italian top-tier league. The side’s first two matches were fruitless, although they were able to strike five times in their battle against Milan 4-5. Their win came in their third league appearance (versus Chievo 2-3) before incurred again back-to-back defeats from Roma and Udinese. They are currently in the relegation zone.

Genoa, by comparison, have not also made a prominent stance in Serie A, although their form is much more appealing than Parma’s. The side debuted in the tournament with a loss to Napoli before drawing with Genoa in their next battle and winning against Lazio in their third. A 2-2 deadlock marked their meeting with Verona, which was later overshadowed by a 0-1 away downfall to Sampdoria. The squad are currently positioned in the mid-table.

Sports betting tip: Genoa will earn their second win of the season from Parma.

Sampdoria vs. Atalanta

Match Date: 05 October 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio Luigi Ferraris

One of the breakthrough sides of the new season, Sampdoria are chasing the title in a speed almost at par with the likes of Juventus, Roma, and Inter Milan. The side remain unbeaten in five consecutive league matches, three of which resulted in victories and two in draws. They have already scored six goals from all their Serie A appearances, three of which were scored via clean sheets. Blucerchiati are currently ranked fourth in the league table, which is a massive improvement from their performance from the previous season (when they ended up at the relegation zone in the fifth week).

Atalanta, by contrast, have spent the last three weeks  without scoring any goal or any point. Instead, they conceded six goals to teams such as Fiorentina, Inter, and Juventus. They kicked off their new season campaign with a goalless draw against Verona and followed it up with a victory over Cagliari. But their most recent results have been so disappointing that they caused them to make a sharp plummet in the league rankings. La Dea are currently just one point adrift of the drop zone.

Online betting tip: Sampdoria’s unbeaten streak will be stretched to six weeks with a triumph against Atalanta.
