The new football season has Sampdoria’s stars falling into place. While they currently rank within the top of the Serie A rankings, they have also displayed astonishing performance in a friendly against Luese. The squad netted a total of 13 goals while conceding none. In their past two top-flight tourneys, they successfully earned a clean sheet against Torino and forced a draw with Sassuolo through a very well measured defensive strategy. Chievo, meanwhile, finished their past few matches mostly in the red zone. Defeats from Juventus and Parma deprived the side of six, vital points. Lucky enough, they pulled off a surprise victory against Napoli to keep them adrift of the relegation region.

Online betting tip: Sampdoria will bag all the marbles but Chievo will not go home empty-handed.

Lazio vs. Udinese

Match Date: 26 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio Olimpico

A worsening problem on their defense for counter attacks has taken a toll on Lazio’s form. Although they do not necessarily rank in the lowest stratum of the league table, the squad are far from being the top dogs of the competition. They currently rank in the mid-table, with the three points they obtained from newly promoted side Cesena keeping their lifeline intact. They must do more than just striving to create chances as they are at risk of plummeting into the drop zone. Udinese are doing the opposite. While rendered goalless by Juventus in their second new season match, Bianconeri finished their most recent tourney in an inspiring victory—not to mention that they also debuted in the competition with an impressive victory. They currently rank within the top five and they are headed to a quite exciting season.

Football betting tip: Lazio and Udinese, despite their contrasting league forms, will battle out a medium-scoring stalemate.
