Losses and wins alternated in Napoli’s last five matches: losing to Athletic Club (UCL), Chievo (Serie A), and Udinese (Serie A) and then winning against Genoa (Serie A) and Sparta Praha (UEL). At the Italian top-tier football, the side rank in the bottom six and are only two points adrift of the relegation zone. Compared to last season for the same period (when they were atop the rankings in three consecutive weeks), Partenopei are performing rather poorly this time around. Palermo are doing slightly worse. A rank lower than Napoli, the squad have yet to score their very first win of the new season. They debuted in the tournament with a stalemate with Sampdoria, followed it up with a defeat from Verona, and then sealed their three-match streak with a deadlock versus Inter.

Football betting tip: Napoli will narrowly win over Palermo.

Parma vs. Roma

Match Date: 25 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio Ennio Tardini

Both league placement and head-to-head measures indicate a much stronger Roma than Parma. The sides’ past few meetings have almost virtually rendered the guests as the superior side as five out of their six previous encounters were all won by I Giallorossi. The current rankings also suggest that Parma will have an extremely difficult challenge at the toppling the title chasers. The sides are 13 spots apart: Roma in the table’s summit and I Crociati in the 13th place. Form-wise, Rudi Garcia’s men are unbeaten in eight consecutive matches while Roberto Donadoni’s lads have already lost three times in the same number of fixtures.

Sports betting tip: Roma are on course to their fourth straight win in the new Serie A season. Parma will be rendered goalless from this tourney.
