Empoli FC and AC Milan ended their third fixtures in Serie A with not-too-dissimilar results: both in the matches themselves and in the league rankings. While the hosts conceded two goals and dropped two points from their battle against Cesena, Milan incurred a clean sheet defeat to defending champions Juventus—thanks to a Pogba-backed goal by Carlos Tevez in the 71st minute. Head-to-head, the sides have only met thrice in the past seven years and on two of those occasions, Milan were the apparent top dogs. Current league rankings place Azzurri in the relegation zone while i Rossoneri were knocked off the top spot but are still very safe in the top four.

Football betting tip: Milan will easily dominate over Empoli.

Cagliari vs. Torino

Match Date: 25 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio Sant’Elia

Cagliari and Torino both hoped to earn high points from their respective third Serie A appearances for the new season, but that hoped seemed fatal as none of them succeeded at veering away from the relegation zone. The hosts conceded two goals and succumbed to Roma while the visitors were trounced by Verona with a clean sheet at home. Since the season started, the squads have never won a league tourney although I Rossoblu managed to seize a Coppa Italia glory and il Toro with a Europa League win—both obtained last month. However, those will not change the fact that they are currently among the least impressive sides of the whole top-flight tournament.

Sports betting tip: Cagliari and Torino will share the spoils.
