Parma were one of those who were not lucky enough to start their new season campaign with flying colors. The side lost to newly promoted Cesena by conceding one goal and scoring zero. It was their first defeat in four Serie A matches as their last three fixtures from the last season all gave them at least one point. Crociati must lie low in committing errors to reverse their opening result. Milan, meanwhile, have finally found the right formula to end their four-match winless streak as they trounced Lazio 3-1 at home. Goals from Keisuke Honda, Sulley Muntari, and Jeremy Menez helped Rossoneri climb the summit of the league table for Serie A’s opening week.

Online betting tip: Milan will continue their winning streak with a victory over Parma.

Verona vs. Palermo

Match Date: 16 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stadio M. A. Bentegodi

Verona and Palermo both debuted in the new top-flight season with a stalemate in their score sheet, although the latter managed to strike a goal while the former was rendered goalless. Head to head, however, their forms suggest the opposite. Of the last two meetings that these sides have engaged in (both for the Coppa Italia in the 2012-13 season), Verona were the apparent top dogs with an aggregate score of 1-3. Palermo will have difficulty preventing Verona from finishing their scoring chances, especially that their defense compares very pale to Gialloblu’s.

Sports betting tip: Hellas Verona will bag all the marbles from Palermo.
