Match Previews: Bundesliga (November 8-9)

Hannover 96 vs. Eintracht Braunschweig

Match Date: 08 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: AWD-Arena

Hannover 96

The last five weeks of Bundesliga have been a calamitous journey for Hannover 96. The side never won in any of those matches and only managed to seize one point from a draw with Hertha BSC 1-1. Die Roten’s defense is getting rustier, as evidenced in the seven goals they have conceded in just two fixtures (the most recent ones). The poor form, coupled by a problematic approach to converting chances, make Mirko Slomka’s troupe prone to serious beatings by any club in the league table’s upper half. Confronting a side that is lower than them, however, can be less distressing, and more so if they work it out at home.

Eintracht Braunschweig

Despite emerging as victors in two of their last five matches in the German top-flight football, Braunschweig were still pinned in the ranking’s most feared spot. The huge number of goals they’ve conceded this season might explain the mishap, in which 23 innings were stolen by their opponents in eight fixtures. Individual errors and the inability to avoid offside are seen to be the main reasons why Torsten Lieberknecht’s lads are not able to strengthen their wheelhouse in the tournament.

Football betting tip: None of these sides finished their most recent tourneys successful, but the hosts could pick three points from this tourney if they are able to debunk their visitors’ hope of creating opportunities. Betting for Hannover on 1.96 can potentially be profitable.

Bayern Munich vs. Augsburg

Match Date: 09 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich

After winning their fixture against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League, Bayern Munich continue to impress spectators. The German football juggernauts are also equally successful in the domestic league, having been unbeaten since November last year. The well-organized, very much in-form champions could easily defend their title with the kind of showmanship they are displaying this season. It appears that Pep Guardiola has only very little things to worry about his troupe.

After five winless matches, Augsburg have finally breathed life into their streak following their victory in their most recent battle. Fuggerstädter tore down Mainz 05’s hope for another win when their opponents ripped them off of two goals to be defeated in the tourney. Augsburg had the commanding lead in the first 49 minutes of the match, and although Mainz found the net in the 59th minute, the combat ultimately favored the home side. The triumph, however, cannot vouch for a successful follow-up. Markus Weinzierl’s men still need to work harder on their defending skills and the capacity to protect their lead in order to bag reasonable results in their next set of fixtures.

Online betting tip: Without question, this combat will largely be dominated by Bayern Munich. Losing to a club a dozen spots below them is just very unlikely. Aiming for a 1.78 or 2.17 win on wagers could materialize with the support for the home side.

 Dortmund 2

Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund

Match Date: 09 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Volkswagen Arena

Vengeance is sweet the first time, sweeter on the second, but sweetest on the third. That said, Wolfsburg’s third effort to gain back what they’ve lost a few weeks ago paid off really well. The side had their third consecutive victory with the success over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank-Arena 1-2. This helped them obtain three more points to take themselves into the top five. This also marks the side’s best placement this season, thus far, and the improving form is suggestive of a dependable future. However, Die Wölfe must still get cautious of their way, especially when the troupes above them (in the table) are what they are going to deal with.

Borussia Dortmund

Die Borussen may have lost their composure in the Champions League following a terrible defeat from Arsenal, but the squad remain strong in the German top-tier tournament. Borussia Dortmund won all of their three most recent Bundesliga matches, slamming clubs like Hannover, Schalke, and Stuttgart. The side currently boast of a W9-D1-L1 record, making them among the league’s strongest players (as with the seasons past).

Football betting tip: Swathed in success stories from their recent outings, Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund are set to launch a breathtaking pitch display. Both sides are equally good on the attack, although the former are better down the wings while the latter play best on set pieces. In this round, a close-scoring encounter should be expected, but the victory will ultimately go to Borussia Dortmund. Bets on 1.97 for the favorites can yield pleasant results.

Hoffenheim vs. Hertha Berlin

Match Date: 09 November 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Rhein-Neckar-Arena

At the back of Hoffenheim’s terrible defeat in Sinsheim is a brilliant victory they obtained from Hannover 96. These last two matches were particularly crucial to the side’s inclusion in the league’s top 10, and thanks largely to the penultimate victory, Hoffenheim are seated on the ninth spot. The defeat in their latest battle was not necessarily tragic, as the squad have accumulated points large enough to protect and maintain their status in the table.

Hertha Berlin

Their most recent tourneys rendered Hertha Berlin points-deficient. Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 both succeeded in assaulting Die Alte Dame in the tournament’s last two match weeks, causing the club to run out of motivation and slide a few spots down in the table. They stay steadfast at number seven, though. Whilst haloed with a double-digit total score, Jos Luhukay troupe must still deliver great results in their next battles in order for them to reach the higher ranks.

Online betting tip: This match will absolutely boil down to a neck-and-neck encounter. Hoffenheim are very strong at finishing chances while Hertha Berlin could rely on individual skills to create opportunities. A stalemate is the most probable result in this fixture, with each side scoring at least one goal.
