Bayern Munchen - Recap Week 12

Week highlights

The strong continues to dominate whilst the weak continues to struggle. So far, this has been the story behind last week’s action-packed matches.

Topping the list is no other than the defending champion, Bayern Munich. The Bavarians generated a massive win over a worthy opponent, Hoffenheim when it netted four (4) goals whilst keeping a clean sheet. What was even more important was the fact that they were able to dominate despite the absence of its team captain, Philipp Lahm.

Schalke joins Bayern Munich in the winning list last week. Despite the criticisms of their inconsistent performance, Roberto Di Matteo proved his detractors wrong. Thus, from the bottom part of the league table, the Royal Blues are now sitting comfortably in the 7th spot.

Speaking of upsets, Eintracht Frankfurt is the club, which made a stunning performance last week. Pitted against the online betting favorite, Borussia Monchengladbach, the squad scored three (3) goals whilst its opponent can only respond with one (1).

Scene-stealers

Eric Choupo-Moting stole the spotlight last week. His brace ensured Schalke’s well-deserved victory against the equally aggressive Wolfsburg.

The blunders

After handing over an easy win to Dortmund via an own goal, losing to Frankfurt was the least of what Gladbach expected.

Dortmund is also included in the blunder group as the club could only pull off a draw against the newly promoted, Paderborn.

What to expect

As usual, Bayern will dominate the board. More improvements are expected from Dortmund’s camp.
