Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga is firing up its fifth week for the season, having seen many of the affiliated clubs surface in the top ranks, settle in the mid-table, or struggle in the league’s bottom zone. This September 14, two of the current brood’s veterans will meet for the first time this term. Bayer Leverkusen will launch a home face-off with Wolfsburg on an occasion anticipated to produce first-rate innings.

Bayer Leverkusen’s excellent feats

Bayer Leverkusen are making a repeat placement this season, ranking third in the table as where they were placed one season ago. Ripe maneuvers give them high advantage over their opponents, as seen in their breathtaking performances in their first three stints in the German top-tier football. Their curtain raiser saw Freiburg fall to their knees 3-1 while their second appearance poised a genius goal against Stuttgart 1-0. Löwen’s third battle was yet another success (over Mönchengladbach 4-2), only to be spoiled later by a surprise defeat from Schalke 0-2 in their fourth match. Regardless, boss Sami Hyypiä should not worry about his men that seriously. He has a brilliant Bayer Leverkusen ensemble to back his fourth Bundesliga journey.

Wolfsburg’s consistency dilemma

Wolfsburg kicked off their new season campaign frail and unimpressive, succumbing to the assaults of Hannover 0-2. However, their bland debut was immediately countered by a magnificent win over Schalke 4-0 in their follow-up performance. For their third stint, Die Wölfe went back to being powerless as they were thrashed by Mainz 0-2 in a match that saw the opponents find their footing in the second half. Wolfsburg’s most recent match gave them their second victory for the season, slamming Hertha in a 2-0 final score. Coach Dieter Hecking must work a little bit harder if he wants his side grow more consistently in the season. As per three matches, the squad have already sidelined three players.

Football betting tips: Support Leverkusen, expect a tough brawl

Bayer Leverkusen’s last match with Wolfsburg resulted in a draw 1-1. Three matches earlier, Wolfsburg won in a row at home. However, records show that the latter play less spectacularly as away, as seen in their two back-to-back defeats in their last two Bundesliga away matches. Bayer Leverkusen are outright excellent when playing home, converting all their last three home matches to win. In this tourney, the home side will likely give them an edge to rule the match over. By nearest estimates, this meeting should end in a tight 3-2 finale in favor of the Löwen.
