Ranking just outside the UEFA spots, Frankfurt managed to put their losses to a minimum. They have already won twice in the past six weeks, with another three spent on draws, and just one resulting in a defeat. In their most recent league match, the side won over Hamburg, thanks to the opener from Haris Seferovic and the decisive goal by Lucas Piazon. Cologne, meanwhile, have been winless and goalless in their last four Bundesliga appearances. After drawing with Paderborn and M’gladbach, the side have plummeted in the rankings even deeper with losses incurred from Hannover 96 and Bayern Munich.

Football betting tip: Cologne will be beaten by Frankfurt in a clean sheet.

Wolfsburg vs. Augsburg

Match Date: 05 October 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Volkswagen Arena

Goals from Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivica Olic against Werder Bremen helped Wolfsburg earn their second league victory of the season. It came after the side lost all the spoils to Hertha BSC on a clean sheet in the earlier week and served as a major boost to their total earnings which now stand at eight points. They are now ranked in the ninth position, their best rank of the new season so far.  Augsburg, by comparison, are also currently ranked almost in the same placement as their rivals except that they had a more turbulent start in the tournament. The squad were at the relegation zone in Bundesliga’s first two weeks but brilliant performances in the next couple of weeks helped them climb to higher positions. In their most recent battle, they inflicted Hertha BSC with a defeat following a clean sheet finish by Fuggerstädter.

Sports betting tip: Wolfsburg will thump Augsburg.

Despite debuting in the new season only in the 10th spot, Borussia M’gladbach have successfully streamlined a strategy to eventually put them in the second highest position of the league (as per sixth week). They remain undefeated since the season started, with victories they seized from Schalke 04, Hamburg, and most recently, Paderborn. Mainz 05, by comparison, have also spent all their new-season matches without a single defeat—but were mostly stalemates. They were goalless on two occasions (versus Hannover 0-0 and Hoffenheim 0-0) but have also been able to earn a clean sheet once. Their best result came four weeks ago when they scored three goals against Berlin while only conceding one.

Online betting tip: Mainz 05 will succumb to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
