After two opening matches that rendered them goalless, Augsburg have finally got a hold of the spoils following their 0-1 away thrashing at Frankfurt. Raul Bobadilla’s second-half goal was all they needed to seal the win and a notable improvement in their defense enabled them to end their tourney in a clean sheet rather than a deadlock. They now rank 12th in the table. Werder Bremen, by comparison, have neither been clearly successful nor frustrating since the season opened. All their three matches have concluded in draws, although their most recent battle has been entertaining enough to moderately disappoint their fans. The squad scored two equalizers (from Bartels and Prodl) to Leverkusen’s goals as well as an hour-mark effort by Di Santo which was shortly evened out by Calhanoglu. They are curently positioned in the 11th spot of the league table.

Online betting tip: Werder Bremen will incur their first defeat of the season at the hands of Augsburg.

VfB Stuttgart vs. Hoffenheim

Match Date: 20 September 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena

Separated by four points, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim have contrasting forms in Bundesliga. The hosts remain winless in three consecutive weeks since the season opened while the visitors have already produced one victory and two stalemates from the same period. Head-to-head, however, the story seems to oppose what their streaks are apparently showling. Based on their past three meetings, Die Roten have won against their rivals twice, while Hoffenheim took the remainder. In those meetings, Stuttgart netted a total of eight goals while Markus Gisdol’s men only delivered six.

Football betting tip: Stuttgart will narrowly win against Hoffenheim.
