Week highlights

Marseille stood out as the week’s biggest winner after a successful thrashing of Reims. The squad scored 5 massive goals and kept a clean sheet that would further strengthen their campaign this season.
Topping its scoring list was Andre Pierre Gignac, who gave the club an early lead on the 8thminute. Gignac could have completed his hat-trick if not for a missed penalty. Aside from him, Andre Ayew also took a portion of the match’s scoring responsibilities, whilst Giannelli Imbula sealed Reims fate when he scored on the 74th.

Lyon’s performance was also worthy of plaudits and recognition. Similar to Marseille, they also nailed a massive win, which resulted in a 4-0 thrashing of Lorient.

On the other hand, after an even steven finish with Lyon, Paris Saint Germain returned with a vengeance. The Parisiens clinched a 2-0 win against Caen and gained 3 points in order to assert its title defence successfully.

Monaco also clinched its 3rd win for the season. The victory exhibits a good sign for the title contender since its shaky start.

Scene-stealers

Needless to say, Gignac and Marseille readily stole the show. With the said win, the squad has managed to strengthen its grip of the league’s top spot.

The blunders

Guingamp just experienced its 4th loss this season. Unfortunately, there is nothing to celebrate in this occasion since it only pushed the club to the table’s rock bottom pit.

What to expect

Expect a stronger Marseille in the coming weeks. Due to its impressive performance, the squad has become a strong online betting favorite of many.
