Lille-Origi

Week highlights

Lille was one of the biggest winners last week. The online betting favorite,  scored 2 crucial goals against Nantes, which propelled them on the top spot of France’s top-flight league. Leading the scoring list was Divock Origi.  A few minutes after the second half started, Origi converted an assist from Florent Balmont. On the 49th, Origi took his magic on another level. He made a crucial pass to Marcos Lopes, who eventually scored the winning goal for the club.

Also included in Ligue 1’s winning list was Marseille. After opening the season with a draw and a loss, the club clinched its 3rd consecutive win last week. The said win helped the club clinch the 2nd d spot in the league’s ranking.

On the other hand, Paris Saint Germain just had a disappointing performance. For the 3rd time, the squad was forced to settle for a draw, which readily prevented them from improving their rank. Rennes employed an outstanding defence and a clinical approach, which forced the reigning champion to settle for a mere stalemate.

Scene-stealers

Origi displayed an outstanding performance last week, there is no doubt about that. Aside from fulfilling the scoring responsibilities, he also created plays that would help the squad gain more advantage.

The blunders

But of course, it is a pity to see PSG struggle in the 5th spot. However, if there is any squad that is more disappointing than PSG, this is no other than AS Monaco, which seems  desperately thrives in the rock bottom pit of the table.

What to expect

Needless to say, many are expecting PSG to return to its winning ways and so is AS Monaco.
