Toulouse are on their way to crash into a mountain-tall barricade. This season’s table bottom occupants will launch their fifth tournament appearance opposite one of the league’s current frontrunners and football betting favorites, Olympique de Marseille. For le Téfécé, this will be a turbulent match to overcome and a huge feat if they are able to successfully get past the challenge. For Les Phocéens, this tourney will just be another opportunity to intensify their points and perhaps, hold online bookies to remain on their side. The clash will take place on September 14 at the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse.

Marseille’s first three stints in this term’s Ligue 1 were outright successes, bagging the winning goals in all of those circumstances. They started off with a slamming at Guingamp 3-1, followed by assaults upon Evian TG 2-0 and Valenciennes 1-0. Their match against Monaco, however, spoiled their almost perfect streak, having to succumb to the visitors on a narrow 1-2 final score. Still, a victory (even when playing as away) is hard to come by, and with the likes of Andre-Pierre Gignac and Dimitri Payet in the offense, Les Phocéens are robustly armed to topple any opponents in their subsequent tourneys.

Toulouse were battered early in the competition, losing a grip on victory after Valenciennes gave them a bitter 0-3 debut. The following two matches were not enough to compensate for the loss, as the draws with Bordeaux 1-1 and Monaco 0-0 did not help them to ascend in the higher ranks of the league table. In their most recent stint, le Téfécé yet again incurred a defeat after Bastia had Christian Romaric cancelled out Martin Braithwaite’s equalizer. With six goals conceded and only two points scored, Toulouse inevitably had to settle in the table’s last spot.

Prediction: Toulouse will have tremendous difficulty at smashing Marseille. Firing up any surprises is a remote possibility for the home team as Les Phocéens will easily lord this tourney over.
