Ligue 1 is one of the football world’s most highly anticipated tournaments, often playing host to a myriad of fan bases, media coverage, and online betting services. In this upcoming match (September 15) between Monaco and Lorient, supporters and online bookies alike will again be sent to ecstatic modes as breathtaking drills will surely clad the Stade Louis II.

Soaring Monaco

Monaco have a booming stint in this term’s Ligue 1, with their journey glistening in an almost unbroken streak of wins. The club’s multi-million spree on player transfers is paying off, and while they still need to play in dozens more matches to secure the top spot, Claudio Ranieri’s men are positive that they will carry their fire until the end.

Monaco kicked off the season with a victory over Bordeaux 2-0 in a match that saw team debutants Emmanuel Rivière and Radamel Falcao seize the match’s only scores. Their second appearance was even more riveting, producing four goals against Montpellier’s one. When the side met with Toulouse, they were not able to secure even just a single goal. But it was neither an agony nor a feast, as the opposition also did not produce any goal, thus ending the tourney in a deadlock. Monaco’s victory gear was again launched in their fourth appearance when they won over Marseille 2-1.

Lorient

Lorient’s first four matches for the French top-tier league were divided equally between wins and losses. Their curtain raiser was also their first taste of defeat following a tight encounter with Lille 0-1. This was later countered by a victory over Nantes 2-1. For their third battle, Christian Gourcuff’s ensemble got hesitant to convert opportunities, leaving them empty-handed against Guingamp who left the pitch with two goals. Lorient’s most recent match gave them their second win in the season, which was in part due to the mounting of Valenciennes’ injury problems.

Prediction: So far, Monaco have only conceded two goals from four encounters, with 10 points under their belt. Lorient have already unleashed four goals for their opponents’ advantage and accumulated six points also from four matches. Regardless of other factors, Monaco will call dibs on a win over this tourney.
