Nice are only two points clear of the drop zone, which means that their final result in the league will be tremendously crucial for their survival. The side have spent the majority of their last few matches in the darker side of the spectrum. In fact, only one of their last eight matches produced three points. Their two most recent tourneys rendered them goalless.

Lyon are thinly dominant over Marseille, the club that places the highest threat for their Europa League seeding. They are placed fifth in the table, only one point clear of the team next to them. Based on their last two matches (where they were beaten back-to-back), Lyon are in danger of losing their grip to a UEFA berth. They, however, can rely on their excellent ability in creating chances to secure all three points in their final performance for this season.

Sports betting tip: Nice will succumb to Lyon.

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Montpellier

Match Date:  17 May 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Parc des Princes

PSG’s fourth Ligue 1 title is sealed; the defending champions have rendered the season very impressively. Although the side started their campaign quite on the rocks, their ascent to the summit has been highly remarkable that they were able to outperform early frontrunners such as Lyon, Marseille, and newly promoted club, Monaco. Les Rouge-et-Bleu lost only three times this term, drew in eight fixtures, and won the majority of their matches. They are likely to end the season in a high note.

Montpellier barely made it to the top 10 this season (they did so only for one week), though they managed to remain adrift of the relegation zone all throughout their campaign. A few errors and a generally inconsistent form contributed to their off-key ascent in Ligue 1, but they maintained their resilience to keep themselves within the safer zones of the table. Currently in the 14th spot, they are level on points with fellow strugglers Guingamp and Nice, which means that their final battle in the French top-flight football should yield three points in order to secure berth for next season.

Online betting tip: PSG will conquer Montpellier.
