St. Etienne successfully overturned a two-goal deficit to remain at the forefront of European berths with a 2-2 stalemate against Reims. Gaetan Charbonnier and Franck Signorino scored a double-lead in the first 50 minutes, but Brandao quickly halved the deficit and a stoppage-time effort from Francois Clerc ultimately decided the result. Rennes, meanwhile, incurred a goalless defeat from Monaco. Plenty of chances were made but none has been successfully converted. In addition, the defense of the Philippe Montanier side came a little fragile and their goalkeeping acumen also suffered to a certain degree. Les Verts and Les Rouges et Noirs currently rank 4th and 14th respectively.

Football betting tip: St. Etienne will keep the pressure on the clubs above them by winning this tourney over.

AS Monaco vs. Nice

Match Date: 20 April 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Stade Louis II

In spite of Falcao’s absence, Monaco still proved how much of a threat they are to their league opponents in the French top-flight football. The side earned landslide victories from their past two matches, dominating the scoring against Nantes and Rennes. Nice, by comparison, have rendered their past four meetings without a win—although two points were bagged from drawing with Bordeaux and St. Etienne. Head to head, Monaco have won thrice in the sides’ past five face-offs. Nice earned all three points in just one occasion while the remaining fixture put the squad on level terms. Monaco, in general, have more well-developed pitch skills than their upcoming guests.

Sports betting tip: Monaco will earn all the marbles against Nice.
