Toulouse have never won against PSG for their past 10 meetings, with none of which even ending in a deadlock. Based on the current standings in the league table, and indeed including the past tallies, the Parisians remain as the stronger side than their opponents.

Toulouse

Currently in the mid-table, Toulouse suffer from a bizarre degree of inconsistency. They ended the third week of fixtures with a goalless defeat to Bastia before they made a successful turnaround in their next league appearance against Evian TG. The following week, they again incurred a loss to Reims, this time, doubling their goal deficit. A 3-3 draw highlighted their subsequent match versus Caen. Most recently, they pulled off a three-goal clean sheet against Rennes to produce a total score of 10 points. These yo-yo performances a taking a major toll to the squad’s form and they are confusing their fans as to how stable they really are in terms of producing pitch spectacles. One thing is certain, nevertheless, and that is they are very resilient and very capable of gracefully handling adversities.

Paris Saint Germain

Defending champions PSG remain highly skilled at creating scoring chances and making efficient use of both their key and emerging players. However, they have been outperformed by three other sides as of the seventh week of the French top-flight football. The side are currently ranked fourth in the table, behind Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux, and Marseille. But as with the past season, the opening weeks of the tournament holds little bearing of the side’s final placement. In fact, they are crossing an almost identical path as the last edition of Ligue 1—when they started relatively meek and then eventually picked up as the season progressed. By this measure, they are on course to seizing back the top spot. A major improvement in offside errors is highly needed, though.

Football betting tip: PSG will bag all the marbles from Toulouse.
