Toulouse and Caen may have been far from the drop zone for the last five weeks but their inconsistency could soon have its vengeance and put them in dangerous situations.

Toulouse FC

Spending three of their five new-season matches in the losers’ zone, Toulouse must introduce a new game plan to keep them adrift of the relegation zone. Since opening day, they have never been part of the top half and are currently just three spots away from the most dreaded places of the league table. While they pulled off successes against Lyon and Evian, TFC have been beaten twice on goalless results. There is apparently no proper coordination between the team’s attack and their defense, making it potentially difficult for them to seal their next fixtures with a clean sheet.

Caen entered the new season at the top of the league rankings, pretty impressive for a side that have only recently been promoted to the French top-tier football. However, their early victory might have only been ‘false alarm’ as the squad have eventually fallen out of the table’s apex. Thus far, they have only won twice their five top-flight fixtures, with their two most recent having ended poorly and with zero goals. Nevertheless, Patrice Garande can still hold high hopes for a safe-spot finish by the end of the year, or of the season. They are currently placed within the top 12 of the rankings.

Sports betting tip: Both squads will net at least one goal in the first period, but Toulouse will eventually dominate over Caen by the second half.
